UPDATE: after I finished writing The Beanie out of Space, I couldn't stop thinking about what would happen next for Carys and Kaiodhrel. Being an idea writer, it soon escalated to beyond the scope of a sequel short story, into perhaps a full-length novel ;D This website's system works better for short stories than novels, so I decided to move the story published here onto larger writing websites like Quotev and Wattpad. Once I finish putting each part that I've already written, I'll continue the story on said websites.
